*Easter* (Saturday)

I don't know if I just have one word to describe today. Joyful, Fun, Sad.... Interesting. Today marks the passing of my Dad...5 years today. With that alone comes so much. Sweet Hunter has been asking TONS of questions about my Dad and asking me to tell him stories of him. I LOVE talking about him. He was an amazing man and I want my kids to know everything good about him. A couple of months ago it was really stormy and Hunter was scared that our house was going to blow away I told him that wouldn't happen because Grandpa had built this house, he said OK and went back to sleep. A couple of days ago it was insanely windy, I was even a little scared. We were all watching out the window and Hunter turned to me and said "It's going to be OK Mom, this house isn't going anywhere, my Grandpa built it!":)

In the morning we all got up, got ready, and headed for the Spanish Fork Easter Egg Hunt. We got there just in time. I asked the lady next to me how many eggs the kids could have each (because we missed the announcement) and she told me 4. The horn blows and my kids are off to get there four eggs. When they got done we found a spot on the grass and started opening them to see if they got any prizes, As we are sitting there we look right next to us and there is a Mom with three older kids (like 6, 8, and 10) (mind you we are at the "little kid" field) and they seriously have over 50 eggs.....Seriously? I just don't get people like that. My kids looked at them like "why did they get so many eggs" what do you say to that, well kids, they don't want to play by the rules, their cheaters! There were SO many people that did that. It makes me crazy! I'm not going to lie though, it kind of makes me want to "cheat" but I know that would be the worst example for my kids so we will play by the rules and be better off:)
OK I'm done with my rant:)
Jagger woke up just a little off, it was like he was trying so hard to be happy and put a smile on his face but this is all that would come out. When we got home I fed him and put him to bed and he didn't wake up until 5 , then I fed and changed him and he went back to sleep for the rest of the night. Poor little guy has a bad fever (102.6) and has such a stuffy nose that he can't breath...it seriously breaks my heart and makes me want to cry!:(

The kids had such a good time at the Easter Egg Hunt. They all got little grab bags with jump ropes and balloons in them and a couple of other treats. They were so excited:)

The eggs were really hard to open

Could somebody please tell me what EVERYONE else is looking at?

Mom and I got ready, pretty much the entire day, for our Family BBQ and Easter Egg Hunt. I made Pulled Pork for sandwiches (It was AMAZING!) and a bunch of other things...we were very well fed:) Then we had the eater egg hunt, inside....again! LAME! I want warm weather! Anyway, everyone still had a great time and then we played a game, we split everyone into 2 teams and played a game with all questions about my Dad, it was soooo fun!:) I'm pretty sure Team Awesome won...YA!
Chris missed all the festivities because he was taking one of his finals. When he finally got done we went out to his truck and it wouldn't start...lovely:) The boys ended up going to get him and he got home when everyone else had gone...so sad!
So in a nutshell this day was....interesting. Lots of laughter and lots of tears. I'm not going to lie, I'm glad it's over:)

That's so sweet that Hunter has so much trust in the house his grandpa built. Looks like a fun Easter! You look beautiful Jamie. You have an adorable family!

I love that you are not going to be Easter Egg Hunt Cheaters! And that you had a game with questions about your dad. I'm glad you survived the day and that it's over :)
