*One Year Ago...*

One year ago this month we almost lost our little angel. I try not to look back on that time very often because I hate the feelings it brings with it but Mom and Dad K. were in town and we happened to get on the subject. We obviously don't know what would have happened had we not gone to the hospital the night we did but last night Chris told me that he truly thinks we would have lost her. If she hadn't received fluids that her body would reject she could have died of dehydration. I remember exactly what she looked like, her ribs stuck out, her stomach was sunken in, her skin was green, her eyes were sunken in and she had no energy at all, we hadn't seen her smile in days. It was the scariest time of my life. This post is not to ramble, which is what I'm doing:) but to say how truly blessed we are to have this amazing little girl in our lives. She really does have the sweetest little spirit and can light up any room she walks into. We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father who watched over our little girl until we were able to find out what was going on with her little body.
Food is no longer and issue as you can see, she is the chubbiest little thing with dimples in her bum and awesome thunder thighs! I love her beyond description and am so grateful to know that she is mine forever. *Her hair does the craziest things when she is sleeping:)

*Discovery Kids*

Warning:
Picture OVERLOAD!!!
Several weeks ago we had the chance to go up to the Discovery Kids Museum with Tom and Angie and their cute girls. We had such a fun time. I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids did:)
Hunter LOVED being the "Cashier" Look how seriously he is taking it! (He's even biting his tongue in concentration)

Skyla LOVED the water. We would start off somewhere and turn around and Lala would be back at the water playing.
I thought it would be cute to pretend they were farm animals...they thought I was the lamest mom ever!

Tom and Chris made a little "Movie" it was pretty funny.

We had such a blast there and hope to go again soon! Thanks again Tom and Angie!

*The Zoo*

Two Wednesdays ago the Zoo had their last "Free Day" I'm all about Free so I called my brother and sister-in-law to see if their family wanted to go with ours to the Zoo, they said yes. We had such a good time. For lunch we went to see Jess at Hickory Kist and then headed up. The weather wasn't very promising but we were prepared for it to be cold and maybe even snowy. The kids had a great time and so did I! Thanks again Cory and Elisha for coming!

This is the new baby elephant. She was very playful while we were there.

How cute is the baby Giraffe!

This Tiger was definitely my favorite! There were probley 4 tigers all together and some were younger and they were very playful with each other. One came up to the fence and just stared at Skyla with the sweetest eyes like "Do you want to play?" It was so cute!
What a beautiful creature and what a fun day!

*Fun in the Snow*

We LOVE snow days here! Hunter wanted to go out so we got him all bundled up and Skyla just stood and watched him longingly out the window, it was so cute. We asked her if she wanted to go out with Hunter and play and she said "Uh Huh!" So we got her ready and they had a blast out there.
Hunter had to keep helping her up.

She finally got so frustrated from falling that she came on the deck and watched Hunter slide down the hill.

*Grandma & Grandpa Millo*

My kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Grandma Carson and Grandpa Millo. A couple of months back Hunter was able to stay with them for several days and he formed a special bond with them! He asks me several times throughout the week if he can go stay with them. So sweet! Well my Grandma has not been doing very well so we went to see them. Hunter was so sad when we had to leave but it was so good to see them both!
They have the coolest back yard with all of these swings! It's really fun! This is Hunter and Grandpa Millo's game to try and touch feet and knock the others shoes off.It took Skyla a minute to get used to it.

Hunter is fascinated with EVERYTHING that Grandpa Millo does, including changing the batteries in his hearing aids:)

I'm so glad we had the chance to see them!

*Coloring*

I know, I know, I haven't posted anything forever! Here are some fun things we did in Feb.
My kids have never really been into coloring and drawing but in the last month or so they can't get enough of it! This is them making their Grandma and Grandpa (in Texas) a Valentines. Skyla is "reading" me what hers says.Hunter is learning to trace really well! This is him concentrating as hard as he can!
