*The Kids' Room*

Yay!!! Our kids room's are done!
*FYI*
For those of you who don't know, Chris has made every piece of furniture in both rooms. He is truly amazing!
This will be baby boy's room.Yes, looking at this picture I can see that the bus is crooked.:)
This side of the room looks really empty but I will be putting 16x20 pictures of him there.
This is Hunter and Skyla's room:
My amazing sister in law, Elisha painted everything. We got the idea for colors and the tree off of one of Skyla's dresses.
She also made this darling valance.

I had Hunter hold up his frame, we don't have the glass for it yet so it's not hung up but you get the idea.

I love, love, love the rooms and I couldn't have pictured anything better!

*The Results Are In!*

O.k. so they have "been in" for a couple of weeks now but I am just getting around to posting it.
Damien Mikel 27 votes (48%)
Axton Mikel 18 votes (32%)
Jagger Mikel 5 votes (8%)
Baby Batman 6 votes (10%)
We CLEARLY have a winner and to be honest that's what I voted for
BUT
now I am so unsure. I know that I am being retarded but a name is a BIG deal. I am now back to really liking Jagger, I feel like it fits into our family better...Hunter, Skyla & Jagger, I feel like putting Damien in there sounds kind of fancy. I know that Jagger is not the popular choice (Baby Batman beat out Jagger for heavens sake:) but Chris and I really like it. I don't think we will know what to name him until he comes. We shall see:)

*37 Weeks*

I was 37 weeks on Monday (this picture was taken right before my Dr. Appointment)
I AM MASSIVE!!!
Anyway, I am dilated to a 2 and 75% effaced so here is for hoping this little boy comes sooner than later.
I thought I would include some prego facts:
*This pregnancy has been....HARD to say the least. I have had my sciatic nerve killing me from the second month on...NOT FUN! My Dr. told me (at 4 months) I was not allowed to hold Skyla or carry really anything until this pregnancy was over. That has been really hard!
*I threw up a ton for the first 4 months. My kids would wait at the bathroom with tears in their little eyes "Are you O.k. Mommy?" Oh they are the sweetest little things!
*Lots of Heartburn (until me awesome Dr. gave me a prescription a couple of weeks ago which saved my life.) Literally EVERYTHING was giving me heartburn.
*Lots of cramping keeping me up at night.
Wow this all sounds so negative but it just has been a very hard pregnancy compared to my others. Some of the things I have craved:
*Milk, Milk, Milk...I seriously drink SOOO much milk!
*Cereal (Of course)
*Ice Cream...I literally have had ice cream almost everyday for the last couple of months, that's going to be fun to try and get off my body:) Oh well, It was worth it.
*Sara Lee 100% Wheat Bread
*Root Beer
*Milano Mint Cookies...yum!!!
Anyway, there you go, hopefully in the next couple of posts it will be all about my little boy! Keep your fingers crossed, I'm praying for next Thursday;)

*Summer Time*

So far this summer has been a lot of fun. The kids spend A LOT of time outside. We are so blessed to be here where they can run and play to their little hearts content! Here are a few pictures of them playing.
Skyla makes this face every time she sees the horses. Yesterday she walked right up to them and started petting one of their faces. Brave girl:) I love how kids aren't really afraid of anything but it also makes me a nervous mom.Hunter LOVES to shoot the "Bad Guys" and the "Bad Birds"
When we went to the Freedom Festival a couple of weeks ago Hunter wanted to get his face painted really bad but the line was a mile long so I told him we would when we got home. He reminded me a couple of days later so we painted faces.
Hunter has a Basketball and Skyla has a little flower.

*Happy Fourth of July!*

I kind of LOVED having the fourth of July fall on a Sunday because we got to celebrate Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday...how fun is that!?
Saturday:
I didn't have my camera on me but we had a little BBQ at home with the kids and then Sean, Tori, and Averi came over to hang out. The kids played on the tramp while we sort of played Botchi Ball (however you spell that:)
Funny/Scary Story: The Daddy's were swinging the kids from the tree by the hollow and I was sitting down just watching them play when Skyla starts pointing to a branch and walking towards it. Ya, you've never seen a humongous pregnant women get up so fast... she was walking right into the hollow and would have fallen and rolled all of the way down (of course it is the steepest part of the hollow where they were) anyway, I saved the day:)
Then we a delicious Lasagna dinner and let the kids play and then we played the Construction Game where I killed everyone (twice) It was such a fun day!
Sunday:
We went to church and then just hung out with my mom and had dinner outside on the picnic table.Monday:
We headed over to Provo to the Freedom Festival. I haven't been since I sang there probley 12 years ago. It was so much fun. We were going to go to Los Hermanos but they were packed so we went to Ruby River...it was SOOOO good!

Then we headed back to the festival where Hunter got to do all sorts of fun things for free. First he painted a little scarf holder for when he becomes a scout.
Then he got to pet a Python! Don't worry I was completely freaked out and kept my distance:) he loved it though!
He is right by the head here. YIKES. Chris came to me after and said "I don't want him to be scared of it so I let him go...but I'm not going near it!" I thought it was pretty funny!
Then we watched some Jugglers.
After that we came home so everyone (but me) could take a nap before we headed up Payson Canyon with Cory and Elisha's family for a BBQ.
Wow...I am LARGE and IN CHARGE!:)
Kaulin and Hunter kept bringing me flowers...so sweet!

This chick got SOOOOOOOOO dirty!

This is Skyla after we cleaned her up. Her clothes were so bad that we took them off and she work her Daddy's hoodie home, as you can see, she LOVES it!

What a fun Fourth of July! I hope everyone else had a great one!

*Craft Time*

We went to Joanne's the other day and found these cute little face masks for a dollar and decided that would be a fun little craft for the kids. Hunter chose a octopus and Skyla chose a monkey.Look at the concentration on his little face.
Skyla painted her monkey all brown and then I finished it. I gave her some plates to paint on and she LOVED it!
*Project Completed*
I didn't get a pictures of Hunters, I'll try to remember and post it later.

Skyla has been very into coloring lately....on everything...paper, coffee table, couch...I could scream. I try to keep things out of reach and hidden but she is a clever little one. Hopefully this phase will be over soon.

*Sundance*

Hunter and Chris went camping over night so my Mom, Skyla, and I went up to Sundance for a relaxing Saturday morning. We rode the ski lift up and back and then headed to Los Hermanos for lunch. It was such a blast! Thanks again Mom!

Skyla absolutely LOVED it! (Especially the shuttle bus:)

*Yard Work*

Chris has been doing a lot of yard work lately and he has been so awesome to let Hunter and Skyla help him out.

*It's Sprinkler Time!*

Chris was out fixing one of the sprinklers the other day and Hunter really wanted to run through them....in his clothes...whatever it's summer time:) Of course Lala wanted to play too but when her Daddy started torchering her by putting her on the sprinkler she wasn't very happy about it. I have to say it was pretty funny to watch.
Mending her broken heart.
Grandma and Grandpa K. gave Hunter this little water hockey thing and we finally was able to pull it out. The kids loved it.

Hunter LOVES being in the water.

I'm not really sure what he is watering but the kids loved it.

*Skyla's Birthday Part 2*

When Chris and Grandma got home from school we had a yummy dinner and Grandma and I took the kids to McDonalds and got them an ice cream cone and let them play on the playground. They absolutely loved it and Skyla managed to get her ice cream ALL over her...I wish I would have had my camera!
